The Highwaterhouse is a one-of-a-kind guest house situated in picturesque Hangklip in the Overberg. The house is unique built out of stone and concrete and nestled on a rocky point on the edge of a beach with stunning views of the ocean and surrounding beaches. On a high tide one can feel literally “at sea” as the ocean surrounds the house. Built in the seventies by Ruben Stander a leading engineer, The Highwaterhouse is now family run and managed by his granddaughter Martine stander who has painstakingly worked to restore this magnificent and unique house.
